Performances at Honeoye LakeRooted in the fertile tradition of old-time fiddle music, The Brothers Blue weave together three-part harmony and original songwriting with elements from country, bluegrass, Cajun and Irish music.

Harvest Home: Historical Agriculture Museum Tour

 

HarvestRichmond has been, since its inception, a farming community. But what were farms like in the 1850s? How had farming changed by 1900? Learn about farming techniques, changes made in farm implements through the years and what crops were grown in different eras – such as hops, wheat and corn. Did you know that wool was once a major produce of Richmond's farms?

 

This program will meet at the Town Hall Museum at 9:00 and will include a tour of the Agricultural Museum on the Town Hall grounds. NOT an open house format - if you plan to attend, please be prompt.

Advent CandlesEnjoy some Christmas treats popular in 1900. Learn the origins of seasonal customs, and hear excerpts read from beloved Christmas literature, including the Christmas story found in the Gospel of Luke. An easy-to-complete craft project will be part of our celebration, and if you have a special holiday ornament you would like to show off, please bring it along.

Sponsored by the Ontario County Office for the Aging, this program invites seniors 60 years of age or older to come together for a delicious, nutritious meal and friendly conversation. Meals are available at no charge for seniors (a suggested donation of $3.50 covers the cost of the meal). Meal reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Learn more.

Honeoye Community Food Pantry

Located at the United Church of Christ at 8758 Main Street in Honeoye, this volunteer run food pantry is open to residents on two Saturdays per month, from 9 to 10:30 am. No income guidelines apply; however, those receiving food should bring a piece of mail verifying residence in the Honeoye Central School District. Ontario County SWCD Fish Stocking Program
A well-stocked pond can provide many recreational opportunities for your family. The Ontario County SWCD fish stocking program provides suitable species at a reasonable cost. Fish stocking sales are held each year in September and May; visit the OCSWCD's fish stocking page in early September or early April to place your order.
 
Note: The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation requires a farm fish pond license. See the DEC Farm Fish Pond License Application form.

In partnership with New York State, the American Red Cross is offering free Citizen Preparedness Corps training sessions titled "Prepare, Respond, Recover: What to do When Disaster Strikes." Presentations can be scheduled any time and in nearly any setting.
