Municipal Brush Pit

 Hours:     Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

 

Dawn to Dusk
 

  The Richmond Brush Pit is open to Town of Richmond and Canadice Residents ONLY.
 
Identification may be required to utilize the facility.
 
Due to DEC regulations, the brush pit will only accept woody debris, lawn clippings and leaves; not stumps, rocks or dirt.

 
Contributions to the brush pit must NOT be contaminated by any other debris including paper & plastic bags.

 
Contractor dumping is not permitted.

Every Saturday 7:30 am - Noon

 

Recyclables: FREE
All recyclables must be clean. This includes glass, plastic, newspapers, office paper & cardboard.
Plastic #1, 2, 3, 4, 5 accepted. 
 

Please break down cardboard boxes and keep paper/cardboard separate from other recyclables to maximize bin space and keep wait times low.

 

All garbage: $0.18/pound

Weighed on professional scales. Hauler is paid in cash at the scales. Please have all garbage bagged or in containers.

 

All bulk items: $0.15/pound

Furniture, mattresses, box springs etc. These items are weighed and go into the packer.

 

April - November, second Saturday: Free container for bulk metals and non-freon appliances.

$30.00 charge for any appliance containing freon

• Oil cans or filters

• Gasoline tanks

• Car/truck batteries

• Liquid paint

• Asbestos

• Medical waste

Any hazardous materials per NYSDEC Law

Ontario County is holding an e-waste collection day at Bristol Highway Department on May 20th. Persons wishing to drop off e-waste need to register in advance. Registration and additional contact information can be found at the link below:
