The Highway Department maintains 51.76 miles of town roads. The town has contracts with NYS DOT and Ontario County for plowing and sanding an additional 28 miles of State and County roads during the winter months. The Highway Department also mows the county roadsides in the summer, and is reimbursed for both plowing and mowing by the state and county. All of this is done by 5 full time employees and 1 part time employee.

The Town will not repair mailbox damage from snow plowing.
